Saalfelden summer toboggan run
If you are looking for some fun and excitement, then the summer toboggan run in Saalfelden is just the right place. Whether young or old, fun is guaranteed. The 1.6 km long summer toboggan run winds its way through 63 curves through the scenery of the Biberg mountain.
Maisiflitzer Kaprun
The Maisiflitzer in Kaprun offers summer tobogganing fun in a class of its own. The ride takes you 1.3 km over waves, jumps, and 5 spirals. At the highest point, it is even 11 m above the ground. Fun for older and young alike.
Wildpark Ferleiten (wildlife park)
The Wildpark Ferleiten wildlife park gives you the perfect opportunity of observing more than 200 local animals. On the approx. 15 hectare site there is a pool where you can spend some time relaxing.
Liechtensteinklamm gorge
In the heart of the province of Salzburg, come and visit the Liechtensteinklamm gorge. This is one of the most beautiful, and also one of the deepest and longest gorges in the Alps. Come and experience the magical atmosphere for yourself.
Kitzsteinhorn Kaprun
The Kitzsteinhorn in Kaprun achieved the unbelievable with its view over the fascinating Alpine mountains. You can take in this view from the viewing platform at the Gipfelwelt 3000 Glacier world. It’s easy to get to, in just 25 min from the bottom lift station, over the highest cable car support in Europe, then up to the top of the mountain. For snow lovers, the Kitzsteinhorn is the ideal place to visit.
Eisriesenwelt Werfen ice caves
Just one hour’s drive from Zell am See takes you to Werfen, and 1500 m above this market community, hidden in the Tennengebirge mountains is a unique, 40 km long world of ice. The temperature differences between summer and winter have formed and continue to form impressive ice sculptures. The Werfen ice caves are a perfect example of the unbelievable forces of nature.
Schmittenhöhe
The Schmittenhöhe mountain is Zell’s local mountain and is much loved by guests and locals alike. A modern gondola lift takes you safely, quickly, and comfortably up the mountain at any time of year, where you can treat yourself to culinary delights and enjoy the wonderful view over the Zell lake. Guests who enjoyed walking will find that the top station is also the perfect place to start many mountain hikes.
Krimml Waterfalls
The Krimml Waterfalls, with a fall height of 380 m, are the highest in the whole of Europe. Marvel at this unique show of nature and the impressive power of water.
Großglockner High Alpine Road
The Großglockner mountain, at 3798 m, is the highest mountain in Austria, and stands in the breathtaking scenery of the Hohe Tauern National Park. Experience the amazing views and enjoy the enchanting diversity of the flora and fauna in the high Alps.
